Kevin Beasley was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, in 1985. He holds an MFA from Yale University (2012) and received a BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit (2007). He has exhibited nationally with The Butcher's Daughter (Detroit, MI) in group shows in Los Angeles, throughout Michigan, and New York.  

Beasley's recent exhibitions include "Fore" at The Studio Museum in Harlem (2012-13), "Some Sweet Day" at the Museum of Modern Art (2012) and "An All Day Event, The End" at Danspace (2012).  

Beasley has recently completed a fellowship for the International Studio & Curatorial Program in Brooklyn, NY and he will be the artist in residence at The Studio Museum in Harlem for 2013-2014.  

He currently lives and works in New York City.
