Call to Artists  Who: Fine Artists and Craftspeople What:  6th annual Bar Harbor Fine Arts Festival Where: At the Bar Harbor Inn in Bar Harbor, Maine (on the harbor waterfront in the heart of town). When: Aug 9 - 11, 2013, Fri. 12 - 8, Sat. 10 - 8, Sun 10 - 5 NOTEWORTHY: *New for this year: artists may now also apply to the Northeast HarborFest (held the weekend before; Aug 3 -4) and have a working vacation on beautiful Mt Desert Island! Artists applying (www.zapplication.com) and accepting to participate in both shows will get a 10% discount on space fees for both shows! *Come experience the unparalleled beauty of Bar Harbor and Acadia Park at the peak of the tourist season. *Up to $3,000.00 in prize money! *7,000+ visitors and interested art patrons attend this free festival on the grounds of the luxury hotel; the Bar Harbor Inn. *Complimentary Artists coffee and lunches. *10x12 (minimum) spaces with storage space. *Friday morning setup with nearby reserved artist's parking. *Area is surrounded by upscale restaurants and bars with heavy all-day foot traffic. *Faces town harbor with frequent daily schooner, whalewatching cruises and harbor anchorage for visiting cruiseliner ships and yachts. Produced by an artist who does the national show circuit-- just like you! This show is held at the pinnacle of the tourist season when the most tourists and wealthy summer residents are in town. Over half of the artists attending the show come year after year to enjoy the splendors of Mt Desert Island and even create new works inspired by and during their visit. After years of requests, the director is now producing a sister show--the Northeast HarborFest--the weekend before and artists can now do two great shows during their stay and take 10% their space fees if confirming attendance at both shows! New for this year--on-going rolling jury so that artists may confirm their participation early.
